Voices For The Lake Survey: Share your thoughts and ideas about Lake Champlain

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

ECHOs Voices for the Lake BlogOur friends at the ECHO Lake Aquarium & Science Center are asking members of the Lake Champlain and Vermont communities to take some time completing their new survey . This survey is an opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas about Lake Champlain and tell them a little about how you spend your time and how you use social media.

Burlington Boatyard is one many local lake stewards (LCI, LCSC, Outdoors Magazine to name a few) that understand the essential role social media plays in promoting environmental and ecological awareness in both our local lake community and other watersheds around the country. We ask that you take a moment to provide your insight, opinions, thoughts and concerns with ECHO via this survey, and appreciate your continued support for all of us who strive to make positive impacts on Lake Champlain and beyond.

Tis’ the Season: New Listings on Burlington Boatyard

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Well, the boating season is a’comin’ and we wanted to take a minute to highlight some of the 2008 Rinkernew listings for sale on BBY. In this post, we have selections from both ends of the spectrum, fast & fun to comfort & luxury.

First up is a 2008 Rinker 260 Express Cruiser out of Addison, Vermont. This cabin cruiser is a sizeable 28ft, that packs a powerful punch with its 350 Mercruiser.

With only 15 hours logged, this boat is aching to get out there for a weekend trip or an afternoon cruise around the lake. The Garmin color map, flat screen TV and Ipod stereo will keep you on course and in tune with your favorite shows or songs. It has been stored inside and is in “like new” condition. To read more about its features and how to contact the owner click here.

Sun’s Back & The Day Goes On

Friday, August 15th, 2008

It’s 7:30pm and the sky is clear after a brief shower that kept us under the tent for a while. Now we are about to transition into the events of the evening which include some live music and great food over at the beer and wine tent. The view is amazing now, without a cloud over the lake and the many different boats going by are making for some great pictures.

We are still going strong here at the BBY table, with the crowd growing as work lets out and the weekend kicks off. We just spoke with one of the maritime patrons that spent a good five minutes checking out the pictures in the Burlington Boatyard Anglers set in our Flickr album. Needless to say, they were very impressed by the great catches out there, and to be honest, it’s getting hard to keep from running down to the water and throwing out a line!

Well, thanks for checking back in with us, and we hope to put up another post or two before Day 1 is out.
