This weekend, Burlington Boatyard will be volunteering at the Yankee Sportsman’s Classic to assist our friends at Lake Champlain International. We are proud sponsors of LCI and always enjoy time spent in promoting their mission and assisting in anyway we can to ensure that many stay aware of the beneficial programs and initiatives they carry out daily.

Below you will find a notice from LCI, which provides information inviting you to stop by and discuss a variety of topics they are involved in.

Visit our booth at the Yankee Sportsman’s Show
2009 Derby Registration Form Available

The LCI executive director and volunteers will staff a booth this weekend at the Yankee Show at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds in Essex Junction, VT, Friday through Sunday, January 16th-18th.

Stop by and give us feedback on our events like the Father’s Day Derby and All-Season Tournament, learn what LCI is doing on behalf of the lake and anglers, attend the lamprey control program press conference and speak to the Governor and Senator Leahy’s staff, sign-up for an LCI Action Team or LCI Tackle Team, or just talk conservation: lamprey control, fisheries restoration, Swanton Dam, Carry Bay Causeway, water quality and more. And pick-up the 2009 Derby registration form or take a chance with a raffle ticket to support the After-School Fishing Clubs, the Fishing for Friends Mentoring Program and the other programs LCI runs to advance the fishing heritage and conserve the lake.

Hope to see you there. Show hours are Friday, noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show does charge a fee for entrance.
